 Biography

Born in County Down Northern Ireland, Jonathan Johnston has become one of the world’s top musical entertainers. He was a prodigy of the late William Dunwoody MBE and Colin Fleming and latterly went on to seek advice from Sir James Galway.

Jonathan has been voted Northern Irish Musician of the Year and won the solo flute position of the Northern Irish Chamber Orchestra at the age of 21. 

Early in his career he performed with many of the world’s best professional orchestras but now maintains a high profile career touring worldwide and directing his own unique show with a vast selection of music from classical pop to modern rock.

Anybody who has seen him will realise he is not only a musician of the highest calibre but also a natural showman. This charismatic flair along with his highest standards of musicianship has endeared him to hundreds of thousands of fans throughout the world.

As a recording artist Jonathan has released 9 albums.

Jonathan plays an 18k Gold Muramatsu flute. He maintains this is not a gimmick but gold actually sounds better and easier to clean!
